About

About The Website

When I first planned to blog about fish breeding, I realized that in most of post there was always a common topic which was about fish tank filters.  That was when I realized that when caring for fish, the biggest problem most people faced is with the main equipment in any aquarium, which is the fish tank filter.

This website is meant to be a detailed guide on fish tank filters.  I have tried to limited the amount of technical jargon as much as I can and write for all levels of hobbyists, even if you’ve just got your own aquarium.

There are topics that have been repeated a few times and this will happen for topics that I feel are extremely crucial to the survival and health of your fish.

My wife and kids at my koi pond

I remember my first aquarium clearly.  My dad bought me a goldfish bowl with one Siamese Fighting Fish inside.

Over the years, my interest in fish breeding evolved from easy to breed tropical fish to extremely finicky salt water aquatic life.  I have experimented with numerous equipment, tank types and filters and have gotten a good feel on what works and what doesn’t.

These days I love sculpting coral gardens and underwater botanical gardens but my love for fish and other aquatic life has never waned.  I hope you will come here often to share my love for this hobby.
